The Matthew Shane Band originated in the small town of Huntington out in deep east Texas. The founding front man, Matthew Shane Parrish, who is the lead vocalist and lead guitarist, was born in Lufkin, Texas. Matthew established his unique style of guitar playing, singing, and song writting from old Nashville country and west coast Bakersfield sound including rock and Texas blues. Later, Matthew emerged into the Texas Country Music scene. He is continuously inspired by the traditional red dirt energy, and the talent that is sustained in that genre. Matthew's influences include: Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, Brad Paisley, Waylon Jennings, Steve Earle, Travis Tritt, Stevie Ray Vaughn Jason Boland, Randy Rogers, Radney Foster, and Monty Dawson. The Matthew Shane Band recorded their first debut single "You Got It", written and composed by the Matthew Shane Band, at Steel Records Studios in Grand Cane, Louisiana. The song was released on September 11th, 2020, and made its debut at #118 on the Texas Country Music Charts and peaked at #42! The single was also featured on TCMA's Song of the Week and Spotify's Weekly Top 25!
